Hearts broke with the announcement of the death of Noxolo Maqashalala. The actress died alone in her apartment and was only found a week later. Post mortem results have revealed the cause of death of the actress.
Noxolo Maqashalala who died alone in her apartment has been confirmed to have died of natural causes. Police have revealed that there was no foul play.
“Our members that arrived at the scene found the property totally locked. They just got a bad smell, and when the members managed to enter the property, they found the partially decomposed body of a female. No foul play was discovered at the time of recovering the body, “said the police spokesman.
While many questioned how the actress could have died and not being realized as missing for a week, the family explained that she often went a week quiet as she would be filming. It wasn’t until his brother sent his girlfriend to check on her aftee noticing she hadn’t been picking up her phone. However, complex protocol does not allow guards to let people in without the permission of the tenant.
“The girlfriend was turned away by the security because they could not reach her on the phone in order to get an exit code. It was not too unusual to not be able to reach her because of her work and would be often out of touch if she was busy in the studio, shooting something. No one thought she was quiet because she was no longer with us. ” Nkinyiza, the family spokesperson said.
The guards also explained the protovol surrounding guests at the complex.
” Even if a person is a frequent visitor or a family member, the security guard has no business opening for that person without the consent of the tenant. Security guards are governed by rules too. These rules come from the Access Control Act as well as rules from the body corporates of the different estates and complexes.
“The duty of the security guard, in this instance, is to ensure the safety of all tenants and to prohibit any unauthorized entry. Unfortunately, even if a mother says they have travelled overnight from the villages and they want to see their child who is a tenant, the security guard cannot open for them without the consent of the tenant, even if they do not have anywhere to sleep. They must go to the nearest police station if they cannot afford to book alternative accommodation.”
