Zamani Mbatha, who is an actor and influencer, plays Khaya Sokhulu on the e-TV show Isitha, The Enemy. He joined the show in May this year.
Recently, there were rumours that he had been fired from the show. However, the production company, Black Brain Pictures, has denied these rumours. They said they were shocked by the false news. Mandla Ngcongwane, the producer of the show, says, “We were stunned by the news of Mbatha’s supposed firing.
Our main goal is to keep the fans of Isitha, The Enemy entertained and thrilled by the show as we wrap up Season 1 with a bang.’ He also says, “Zamani Mbatha has contributed a lot to the show’s success and these rumours are baseless. He is still on the show.’
Mandla N also teased the fans about what to expect in Season 2.
He says, “There will be more drama, mystery and surprises in Season 2. Maybe someone will come back from the dead. You will have to wait and see.’ A source close to the production revealed that some changes will be made to the plot and some actors will be let go. “Zamani is in talks about his contract. That’s how the rumour started. His future is not clear yet but he has not been fired,’ the source says. “He is not sure about his position right now.
It was similar to when Smoke & Mirrors was negotiating with Zolisa. Right now, e-TV shows are being reviewed and some contracts will not be extended.’ Mandla N confirmed that any changes in the production or cast will be announced officially by the production house.”
