Reports today indicate that they can confirm that the couple DJ Fresh and Thabiso Sikwane is headed for a divorce. The couple met back in the 90s when they used to work for a popular youth radio station called YFM. The couple didn’t start their relationship until years later because they were still in a relationship when they met at YFM.
Both DJ Fresh and his wife developed great names in the showbiz industry over the years. DJ Fresh then went to work for two popular radio stations at the SABC, Metro FM, and later on, worked for 5fm.
Sunday World claims that the news of the couple splitting was revealed by family members who didn’t want to be named because of fear of losing valuable friendships with the power couple.
According to the sources, the couple hasn’t been speaking like a couple for a long time. The couple has been married since 2002 and has been living in marital bliss for 20 years.
Thabiso Sikwane had to consult her family members and her children before she finally decided to get a divorce.
The source also said that Thabiso had lost interest in the famous DJ, and when she let him know of this, he tried to convince her to work on their relationship, but it was too late.
Signs of trouble in paradise started showing when the couple stopped sleeping in the same room.
It said that they’re still staying in the same house with the hopes of creating a spark again, but once she mentioned that she had contacted the lawyers, DJ Fresh said he would leave the house once the divorce was complete.
Thato and Thabiso Sikwane have gone through severe speed bumps during their marriage. A few years ago, he was in the gossip columns because there was news that he allegedly fathered a child out of wedlock. Fresh denied those claims.
A woman also opened a case of rape against DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonic, but the case was not taken to court because the evidence was insufficient, so the two were cleared of those charges.
