Nkanyiso Makhanya, also known as Njeza from Uzalo, is a multifaceted talent. He stunned Mzansi when he perfected a radio challenge from TikTok. Nkanyiso is a former child star and a good actor, but nobody had the idea he had so much potential in radio.
Challange on TikTok
On the challenge, he read a radio presenting script. His script didn’t have a name, and he smoothly added it with ease and professionalism. One might assume he has experience in radio. He then read the rest of the script in record time. He finished the challenge without making any speech mistakes, not stuttering one bit and fluency. If radio producers were listening, they needed to call him as soon as possible.
Nkanyiso Makhanya’s role on Uzalo
We got to know Njeza when his character Njeza debuted as a prisoner. He was in jail for murdering his father; when he committed the crime, he defended his mother from the abusive father. He got out of prison then dabbled in crime after the crime for survival. Nkanyiso exited the show Uzalo after Njeza physically assaulted Nosipho Xulu and damaged her things. Njeza got arrested and sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment.
Nkanyiso recently participated in the Umlando challenge on set. He was wearing orange prison clothes for inmates. As we all know, it is entirely illegal for a civilian to wear those clothes unless they’re filming and their production got permission from the state. Could he be returning to Uzalo soon?
The drama that might unfold
One thing about Uzalo, they portray actual life crime with its natural life. It’s not unusual for a person to be sentenced to 5 years and released after a few months.
What might happen to Uzalo if he returns: Nosipho will suffer from Post-traumatic stress disorder, there will be outrage from the community. He might hunt down his ex-girlfriend Hleziphi for revenge. Njeza might get involved in more criminal activities to make money or return as a brand new person. We shall see.
