Now that we are in February, the count down to the MTV Africa Music Awards Kampala 2021 (MAMA) are getting closer. And representing Mzansi on the big stage is Nasty C.
Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, the MTV Africa Music Awards Kampala 2021 (MAMA) will be held virtually across the globe. Nasty C is set to perform and light things up! The awards will be hosted by DJ Khaled from the comfort of his Miami home. The awards will be broadcasted to 180 countries globally and will air on MTV Base, DSTV Channel 322 on th 21st of February 2021.
The awards are a celebration of African talent with 20 awards being handed out. Other than Nasty C whose last MAMA performance was in 2016, the event will be graced by talent all across Africa. Expected performers include Wizkid, Sheebah Karungi, Diamond Platnumz, Khaligraph Jones, Suspect 95, Soraia Ramos and Calema. Not only is Nasty C performing at the acclaimed awards but he is also in the run for Best Hip Hop alongside Suspect 95 from Cote d’Ivoire and Khaligraph Jones from Kenya.

The one big award that gives viewers an opportunity to pick their favourite for the awards is the “Listener’s Choice” award which allows fans to vote for their favourite or country’s representative. Representing South Africa is Focalistic.
