Subsequent to finishing high school in Botswana, Nadia trains to be a teacher. This sees her teaching at Universities giving her an opportunity to further her education.
In 1994, Pandor ventures into politics and she assumes the role of Member of Parliament. The following year, another opportunity lands on her lap and she becomes the Deputy Chief Whip of the ANC caucus. Three years down the line, Pandor becomes Deputy Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces becoming the Chairperson in 1999.
