Mzansi Magic approves Gomora for season 2
Last year Gomora won big and the Mzansi Magic hit telenovela seems not to hold back. Well, the drama series has seen itself trending after it was given a green light for season 2 airing. No doubt the drama series deserves it after wowing Mzansi with its season 1.
Of late several drama series have seen their airing days reduced and some even canned due to poor performance. Late last year Mzansi Magic confirmed that it had axed Isibaya after failing to hit a mark when it comes to viewership. It is in the same vein Muvhango and 7de Laan saw their airing days being reduced.
Well, when Gomora came onto the scene, fans were excited about what the new telenovela would bring. Now that the first season is coming to an end, Mzansi has been wondering if they’ll get the chance to see Season 2 and that wish is coming true for the producers. Gomora has been renewed.
The news of its season 2 has seen the drama series trending. The showrunners took it to social media to announce the money move.
Taking to social Twitter, Lulu Hela, the telenovela’s producer announced that her beautiful project was going to see a new season hit the screens. She had this to say in a Twitter thread.
“Grateful to our exceptionally talented and hardworking cast and crew for creating magic every day! Grateful to our fans and supporters, thank you for loving our show as much as we do!”
Mzansi Magic approves Gomora for season 2
Lulu described Gomora as her passion project and is delighted with the warm reception the show has received. Mzansi social media users are just as excited.
However recently Sicelo Buthelezi who plays Teddy on Gomora made all sorts of headlines when he released his Amapiano hit. Teddy from Gomora has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry and it seems the star actor is not holding back.
His excellent depiction of Teddy in Gomora keeps many glued to their screens as they cannot seem to have enough of him. Buthelezi bagged an award at the just-ended 4th Royalty Soapie Awards.
No doubt the star actor is a jack of all trades and master of all. He has become a hit with fans. The award-winning actor just dropped a Piano track which has received a lot of praise.
However, the cum musician has joined a host of seasoned actors who have ventured into singing. The list includes Uzalo firebrand Masoja Josiah Msiza who plays Nkunzi.
