Andile Mpisane, and his mother Shauwn Mkhize, also known as MaMkhize, shared the news yesterday. It’s confirmed Andile Mpisane is now signed to the international record label Def Jam Records. It’s a huge career milestone many artists dream about. Some even die without ever reaching this level.
Andile’s signing could be due to two reasons. One is that Def Jam is broadening its horizons and is looking to sign a diverse group of artists. Artists from other countries in Africa, maybe Asia, South America and more. Music keeps evolving, and introducing fresh sounds to the market keeps money flowing into music companies. Another Andile was the opening act of the Legendz of the Streetz Tour, he might have left a good impression. Music agents scout talent in the most unexpected places. Remember that some Def Jam artists were present during the tour. One of them might’ve recommended Andile to the big bosses.
Andile’s birthday celebrations
Andile celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday. He started the day by reposting all his social media birthday wishes on his Instagram stories. Many people know the Ubala singer is a big spender. He purchases cars like he’s buying bottles of water. When he’s clubbing, he makes it rain. Earlier this week, he visited Sneaker Cartel and purchased six Aces bottles and other liquor brands. Surprisingly enough, he didn’t have a lavish birthday celebration; instead, he spent it being a philanthropist.
Andile posted an SMS line on his Instagram page where students with outstanding university fees could contact and have their tuitions settled. What he did was huge. Mzansi has a massive problem with tertiary education not being funded. Many people commended him for doing good for the community.

Later on, Tamia and Andile went to a restaurant and had a quiet dinner together as a married couple. Mind you, and it was his 21st birthday, he proved to have a wide scale of maturity many didn’t anticipate.
