Dr Jerry Mofokeng
The veteran actor wrote a book called I am a man. Dr Jerry initially wanted to do a documentary, but a friend advised him to write a memoir instead. In the four year journey to write this book, the actor got to find out who his biological father was. He says the book prompted him to want to discover his true identity. The Dr had to dig deep into himself and his family. Jerry says his goal was to be brutally honest and bare himself to the readers in the book. He shares his journeys from his daddy issues to having a son who is a drug addict. This book launches on the 21st of October 2021.
Themba Maseko
This civil servant rose to colossal fame when he blew the whistle on Zuma and the Guptas. In 2010 he was invited to the Gupta family house, and Ajay Gupta asked him to divert the government’s budget on advertising to the Gupta family’s media company. After refusing, Themba was fired from his job, and his life was never the same again. In May this year, he published a book called FOR MY COUNTRY, a tell-it-all on why he blew the whistle on Zuma and the Guptas.
Shudufhadzo Musida
The former Miss South Africa has published a book called Shudu finds her magic. This book is mainly aimed at children, and it is a story for young people who are trying to overcome the challenges they face in life. From her humble beginnings in Ha-Vhangani to her crowning as Miss South Africa, the story follows her life. Shudu, a big advocate for mental health awareness, says that the book will help children speak up when bullied.
Candy Magidimisa
This actress took a hilarious route in coping with cyber-bullying. after her pictures were used to create memes, she chose to take her power back and address those issues by using the same memes to write a book called Shaz memes. Shaz is her character in the local drama series, Muchango. This book teaches people that you can fight darkness with light.
