My daughter is not Senzo Meyiwa’s – Kelly Khumalo speaks out
Kelly Khumalo who is at the epicenter of general blame and abuse for boyfriend and slain Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa reveals that her daughter Thingo is not a Meyiwa because Senzo and his family never paid damages to Kelly’s family.
The artist and actress Kelly Khumalo rubbished the suggestions of sitting down and discussing issues with the Meyiwa family. “My child is not a Meyiwa, she is not Senzo’s she is mine and mine alone, I won’t sit down and talk to the Meyiwas, We are not family and we will never be”
She puts the blame of general South Africans hatred towards her on the Meyiwa family but she found peace in the blame for Senzo’s death and moved on with life.
Kelly Khumalo blames the Meyiwa family for the delay of arrest Senzo Meyiwa murderers. She also faults them for misplacing their focus on hating on her and rallying supporters to hate her instead of trying to find out who killed their son.
“They’re the reason the killers haven’t been found,” Kelly says.
“They focused on hating me and finding me guilty instead of trying to find out who killed Senzo.”
She said Senzo was a hands-on dad and wished he was around to watch his daughter mature.
Answering a question about Senzo’s demeanour ahead of his murder on that fateful day, she said everything was well.
Recalled Kelly: “It was such a beautiful day. I was on a phone call with his sister, talking about couples. We then went to Soweto for my performance.
“Senzo was there because he wasn’t working that day. We then went back home. It had become our tradition to have my mum cook dinner for us on Sundays, so we dine together as a family.”
Kelly said her family had lived in fear since the incident.
This as the didn’t know who was watching them.
