Former MDC Alliance secretary general Douglas Mwonzora has been involved in a car accident in Harare. The politician is seen standing close to a his Toyota Mark X vehicle that has been damaged at the front.
The accident raised assassination attempt talk as he is currently involved in a fight for the MDC-T party with Nelson Chamisa’s MDC Alliance.
Mwonzora is not new to car accidents. In May 2017, he bumped into another car as he was reversing his Toyota Land Cruiser at the intersection of Kirkman Drive and Tynwald Road. The damaged car, also a Toyota Land Cruiser was being driven by one Onsmo Muzhingi.
He failed to appear for trial in a case in which he was facing charges of negligent driving.
