FIRED Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Energy Mutodi is set to face disciplinary action from the ZANU PF party for gross indiscipline. This came after Mutodi was fired over sentiments about the abducted MDC youths. The ZANU PF Mashonaland East Provincial Executive has written a letter confirming the issuance of disciplinary action on the former minister.

“Following the sacking of Cde E, Mutodi as a Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services in Government by His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa, the Mashonaland East ZANU PF Provincial Executive sat down and deliberated on the issue and agreed that proper disciplinary process on Mutodi be carried out.
“The province resolved that in terms of Article 10 Section 74 Subsection 1, Cde E. Mutodi be issued with a prohibition Order and notice of charges in writing as the Party moves forward to institute the necessary disciplinary action against him. This prohibition order is in regard to his position as a provincial member in the Mashonaland East Provincial Executive,” reads the letter.

Prior his dismissal Mutodi had wrote on his Twitter account dismissing the accusations that MDC activists Joana Mamombe, Netsai Marova and Cecilia Chimbiri were abducted after Mamombe’s vehicle was found parked at the police station where they were arrested and taken into custody.
“Details emerge MDC youths Joana Mamombe, Netsai Marova and Cecilia Chimbiri went out for a romantic night in Bindura with their lovers who are artisanal miners. They parked their car at the police station for safety but tragedy struck when they demanded foreign currency for services,” Mutodi said.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Mr Nick Mangwana has confirmed Dr Mutodi’s dismissal saying Mr Chikowore’s announcements were true.
Before the news about Mutodi’s disciplinary process, he was hit with another blow soon after thieves broke into his Borrowdale mansion and ransacked his property.
