Musician Tongai Gwaze popularly known as Greatman has just shed more light on his marriage with girlfriend turned wife Silibaziso Masara. The press statement followed recent social media opinions on the disabled musician’s marriage.
After the marriage was announced and pictures started surfacing on social media, his followers were quick to judge Silibaziso for having ulterior motives. His followers did not actually believe that the marriage is a result true love between the lovers. The opinions of the followers did not sit wel with Greatman who decided to intervene.
Some fans even went as further a investigating his wife’s past and some of the things she said. Great man was not happy with that.

A pleasant evening to all my fans, I have to say I’m honored to announce that I’m happily married to Silibaziso Masara. I know a lot has been said about her character by some who have a belief that she has other intentions but honestly as unbelievable as it seems or as hilarious as some of you think it is, the indisputable fact is what brought us together is unconditional love. So we’re going to do everything within our power to try and give a blind eye to all the negative comments and appreciate those who are supportive. I want to be clear on one thing; my condition doesn’t make me useless, I’ve proven in most cases to be worthy of being called human among humans so i take such negativity as nothing but discrimination. My wife loves me for who i am not because of what i can do for her. I don’t mean to brag but there is true love out there. I’ve seen some are further investigating my sexual issues which i find very disturbing and unnecessary. Anyways I’m not going to waste my time explaining myself on that, as i said before, what humans can do, Greatman can do so I’m sorry but what’s keeping us going is the power of love, hence they say love conquers everything. I’ve heard some commenting about the things that she used to say as a kid. How could someone try to excavate the unknown and try to weigh it with reality. To be frank enough, everyone has a past and if we dig deeper some are murderers but we moved on because such are phases of life. Moreover whatever happened before i met my wife is none of my business, i dont live in the past so I’m concerned about the current Silibaziso because she is the one that i know. Greatman pointed out that disability doesn’t translate to inability. He reminded his detractors that whatever another man can do, Greatman can also do the same.
Greatman is an accomplished musician who has collaborated with the finest artists in Zimbabwe. One of his greatest songs is Pandakazvarwa which features sungura star Sulumani Chimbetu.
He also performed a song called Dohwe and another called Gegedewhich features Actress Lorraine Guyo. He sings about things that happen in the daily lives off people as evidenced by Kuita Kwavo, a song he performed with Mathias Mhere.
Greatman is not the only disabled musician to become famous. Before him there was Munyaradzi Munodawafa, a blind gospel musician who made headlines in the 90s when his hit Chipo made headlines. Munodawafa was very young by then.
