We have to give it to Michael Bucwa, and he has guts. The man is making a name for himself. A few days ago, Michael secured a second date on Valentine’s Day with Pearl Thusi. He took his Twitter to confirm this. Yesterday he boldly asked if he could take The Mercedes Benz out to lunch and asked when he could book a flight to Germany; Mercedes Benz responded, ” Anytime, Michael!
He took to his Twitter account to confirm the date between him and Mercedes Benz.
“Vukani Bo! @MercedesBenz Has agreed for me to take them out for lunch,” Mr Smeg wrote.
The man knows how to market himself, and it shows. Maybe this date will happen, perhaps it won’t, but he has put his name out there.
A series of new accounts using the Smeg name has been causing chaos in Twitter. One of those is Mrs Smeg accusing Mr Smeg of cheating with Pearl Thusi.
The account even attracted Pearl herself, who then asked, “Kwenzakalani la?” Which translates to the question,” What’s going on here?”
The account has been called into question because of its strangeness of it. Firstly it is pretty new with only 122 followers, and secondly, the picture on their profile is a poorly photoshopped picture of Michael Bucwa morphed with a confident woman. This is not the only account. There is now a Brail Smeg interpreter account and many more Smeg accounts.
Michael Bucwa has been attracting attention from everywhere since the #nationallunchdate. Everyone wants a piece of him.
On Thursday, he held a Twitter space where he wanted to interact with his followers on how he had been coping with all the new attention he had been receiving.
Michael talked about a video of him posted on his social media accounts, where he is seen checking out Mercedes Benz Sandton. In the video, we are shown what happened when he went to pick up the C Class he was riding in on his way to the date.
Michael mentioned that some publications blew the whole thing out of proportion and wrote that he was advertising Mercedes Benz. He wanted clearly that it wasn’t the case.
