Mpho Phakade “Junior Singo” leaves Generations The Legacy
Junior Singo who plays the role of Mpho on Generations The Legacy has left the SABC 1 longest-serving soapie to find greener pastures.
On Generations The Legacy, Mpho debuted as a street kid who lived from hand to mouth and robbing off people. He saw his fortunes change when he was adopted by then Tshidi Phakade the character played by evergreen Letoya Makhene. Tshidi was married to gangster Kumkani “Gadaffi” Phakade before divorcing him to marry the rich Kabisi Moroka, a role played by Mpho J Molepo. The separation of Tshidi and Khumkani took a toll on Mpho who had to be independent.
Junior Singo who in real life is a father of 1 daughter Ayamah has hinted that his mission on the Generations The Legacy cast is done and dusted as the soapie directors are looking for his exit strategy.
Currently, Mpho is set to be let down by Detective Dali Malinga, his police godfather and mentor after failing to execute and unearth an organ transplant syndicate led by Mpho’s foster father Kumkani Phakade.
Will Mpho leave Generations without solving Tamryn’s murder case?
The odds are against Mpho on his mission to solve his friend and housemate Tamryn’s murder case. After deciding to go undercover to bring his father Gadaffi to justice and crack his friend’s murder case, Mpho found himself in a difficult position after he made personal relations with organ donors and those who needed the organs. This compromised his mission to arrest illegal human organ traders.
How is Mpho likely to leave Generations The Legacy?
Is Detective Dali Malinga going to arrest his apprentice? Is Gadaffi going to kill his son after finding him as a sellout? Is Mavusana going to put the bullet in Mpho’s head after being framed? All the possibilities are pointing towards an unceremonious exit for Junior Singo who was on Generations for over 4 years.

Junior Singo is set to join a chain of cast members who left Generations for various reasons and sources close to the actor revealed that he is lined up for an upcoming project. We won’t miss Mpho for long on our screens, he is set to return with a completely new role.
