Clinical and lethal Peter Shalulile has been dupped as The Godfather of the Dstv Premier league. The celebrated Namibian talisman who plays for Mamelodi Sundowns has been on a goal-scoring spree which has seen him being implicated amongst some of the world’s finest, like Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Egyptian and Liverpool main-man Mo Salah.
However, the comparison came after Shalulile scored more than 20 goals across all competition last year and almost won every cup within his team’s reach. Born in Windhoek, Namibia, in 1993 on 23 October, the right winger furnished his craze for football through academies before finding his fit in top-flight leagues.
Peter Shalulile’s rise to fame
Shalulile started his footballing career with Tura Magic FC while in NFA. However, he managed to help secure promotion in the 2011/2012 season. In the mix of things, he got his first team call-up and starred for the Namibian National Team U-20 in the COSAFA Cup in 2015.

Joining Absa Premiership
In his 2015 COSAFA stint, he joined Highlands Park and helped them to secure their promotion. He was outstanding in the playoffs, which attracted interest from Sundowns, Chiefs and Pirates.
Whilst playing for Highlands Park, he equalled Gabadinho Mhango goal scoring record, and Mamelodi Sundowns later cashed him out from Parks in a record signing during the 2019/20 season.
Salary and Net Worth
With Sundowns, he has been winning big, and the club owners have done justice to his contract. Rumour mill has it that his renewed contract saw him as one of the league’s highest-paid players. Reports allege that he was offered a whooping R400 000 per month plus add-ons. Of interest is the fact that his monthly salary could pay a whole team in lower divisions.
In the mix of things, Mzansi has connected the dots between his off-pitch life and his life of glitz and glamour. Rumour mill has it that he has an estimated net worth of R20 million from his illustrious career. However, little is known about his assets since he has managed to keep his private life under wraps.
