Career
Molobane’s career is a lot more colourful then the previous section. In 2011 Mbatha guest starred in an episode of “Intersexions”. She played ‘Zamo’ who has deal with her truck driver husband’s infidelity resulting in illegitimate children and with her contracting HIV. Two years late she starred as ‘Mokgadi’ in the miniseries 2020 Orlando East on Mzansi Magic with the series airing on Mzansi Wethu later on.
Molobane featured on Skeem Saam, SABC 1’s hit soapie, and played several roles. Mbatha went on to play the recurring role of ‘Serithi Mojalefa’ on Muvhango in 2016. In 2017 landed another recurring role in the drama series “Ingozi” which aired on SABC 1. She also acted in Showmax’s Omen which was added to the platform on January the 13th 2020. She plays the role of Chigane. In 2018 Mbatha played ‘Raisibe’, the first wife of ‘Saint Sesili’ who is living a double life with two women, in drama series “iKhaya”. Later on in the year the series was renewed for a second season.
At the current moment Molobane Mbatha plays the role of Matron Mologadi on SABC 2’s new medical drama series “Vutha”. Mologadi Mahlangu returns home to South Africa from the UK to fix her fractured family. Her cast mates include Ayanda Bandla, Dumisani Mbebe and Kabelo Moalusi.
