Zimbabweans were in disbelief when the news that popular celebrity fitness trainer Moana Mimie had died in a car accident circulated in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Moana passed away in the same accident that claimed popular businessman and socialite Genius Kadungure, popularly known as Ginimbi.
Ginimbi and three of his friends died after a head-on collision with a Honda Fit that saw him being thrown out of the vehicle before it hit a tree and burst into flames.

1. Personal Background
She was born Michelle Amuli. The name Moana according to her was a nickname and Mimie was short for Michelle. She was born on 06 November and had celebrated her 26th birthday at the time of her death.
2. She Had A Daughter
Moana Mimie had a daughter. She revealed this during an interview with H-Metro.
3. She Appeared In Music Videos
Moana Mimie was a video vixen and was featured in a number of popular videos.
The most prominent and recent video she did was with award-winning musician Jah Prayzah. Moana appeared in the video for Munyaradzi, one of the popular tracks off Jah Prayzah’s recent album Hokoyo.
In an interview, the talented Moana revealed that she did not audition for the part but was headhunted by Jah Prayzah’s team.
Moana also appeared in Takura’s Zvemoyo, Enzo Ishall’s Mwenje, and Freeman’s Miridzo.
4. Private Life
Reports suggested that Moana was off the market after it emerged she was engaged to an unidentified individual. Moana made the announcement with a video captioned “Officially off the streets 😁😂🤣”.
5. Endorsement Deals
Moana was a brand influencer and fashion model. She had endorsement deals with Chicken Hut and Frosty by FoodCon Zimbabwe and would regularly post pictures of her with their products.
