The Beginning
At the age of four years, Mlindo the Vocalist joins a local church choir where he discovers his choral dexterity. While in view of pursuing a musical career, Mlindo goes to Eastern Cape where he joined a hip hop group Flow Riders in 2010 where he chiefly took part in vocals. In 2014, he formed an acappella group White Bread, subsequent to his departure from Flow Riders. White Bread becomes a victory as they win a number of accolades, including Search for the Stars. In 2017, he won a talent competition Golden Search. This gave him a prospect to work with record label Afrotainment, owned by producer DJ Tira. During the same year, Mlindo the vocalist was a social media sensation as he uploaded videos covering trending songs.

It all started when a noteworthy video of Mlindo covering DJ Maphorisa’s “Midnight Starring” went viral. This leads to his discovery by the DJ on Twitter who then signs Mlindo to his label BlaqBoy Music. Mlindo is later signed to “Universal Music Africa”. In February 2018, Mlindo features on Sun-El Musician’s song “Bamthathile”. The track is a successful hit in various South African radio stations, reaching atop on local charts. The songster then drops his debut single “AmaBlesser” which features and is produced by DJ Maphorisa. “AmaBlesser” ultimately becomes a hit and is endorsed four times platinum by RISA in May 2019. While he rising to eminence, Mlindo rallies round his family by ending their difficulties. He leases a house for his brother, and assists his unwaged mother.
