‘Zweli Mkhize and the President gave us sparkling water as vaccine’ Julius Malema says
EFF leader Julius Malema has once again said his mind out during the EFF Presser. He touched on many issues but one statement has caught the attention of many South Africans. Julius Malema says that Minister Mkhize and the President Cyril Ramaphosa gave South Africans sparkling water as vaccine.
This comes after the Minister of Health was placed on a special leave by the President following cases of corruption. Here are some of the points raised by Malema:
- South Africa continues its accelerated path into socioeconomic collapse under the leadership of both Cyril Ramaphosa and the ANC
- No other generation has witnessed so much death and sickness than our own. The pandemic is taking breadwinners, shutting down businesses, increasing unemployment and interrupting schooling.
- Majority of the frontline workers, particularly those who were working under Level 5 Lockdown like the police, security guards, taxi and bus drivers, petrol attendants, retail workers and cleaners have not been vaccinated.
- The desperation to only use Western produced vaccines to the exclusion of the Chinese and Russian vaccines have resulted into countless delays of purchases from J&J.

- There is no reason to force contact learning because already there are rising infections amongst young people and children, which are disrupting schools. To ensure a fast move beyond the Third Wave, schools must be closed
- Zweli Mkhize is being treated with kid’s cloves because he belongs to the Ramaphosa cabal. As a result and when it comes to his own, Ramaphosa is willing to be tolerant to corruption, giving corruption a special leave.
- The EFF takes exception to the fact that Minister Mkhize has been placed under special leave even when he has confessed to the preparedness to repay the monies unduly given in the Digital Vibes scandal.
- This is despite the clear evidence of mismanagement, maladministration and corruption. All this proves that the Cyril Ramaphosa administration is tolerant to corruption and selective in dealing with the corrupt
- Yet, Pravin Gordhan who presides over Eskom still occupies his position as Minister of Public Enterprises. Every SOE is facing a crisis, retrenchments and closure under Jamnandas; but he is the most incompetent and unproductive minster of all time.
