Mercedes Girls: Former Uzalo actress and Afrosoul star Thandeka Zulu shows off R800k car
Actress and musician Thandeka Zulu who played the role of Nombuso on Uzalo and Nellie on eHostela, splashed R800K on a new Mercedes Benz luxurious car. The actress has enjoyed a fair share of limelight on telenovelas and award-winning Afrosoul, which she co-owns with her husband Sabelo Ngema and business partner Sergent Malishe. Despite the decline of the entertainment industry due to the pandemic situation, Mazulu, as her legion knows her of fans, pulled the seemingly impossible move and spoiled herself with a new set of wheels, joining the latest crew of actresses with new luxurious wheels.
Born on 25 November 1991, in Hambanathi, Tongaat in KZN, she grew up singing and dancing, which shaped her acting and music career. She matriculated at Nkosibomvu Secondary School in Tongaat and featured on small plays before joining the Uzalo cast. She was fired from Uzalo, where she played Nombuso for having a lousy attitude towards work.

The group trio opened Ikabawo Performing Art Academy in Durban central, where Thandeka is employed as a lecturer and coach. She received training at 12 and revealed that so many lead roles are coming her way, and fans should expect mixed characters to explode.

MaZulu blessed to bless others
Growing up in a solid Christian family shaped Thandeka into the person she is today; she is grateful to have a chance to positively impact less privileged people’s lives. Their Arts college helps less privileged and vulnerable talented kids achieve their dreams.
“We are blessed to be able to use our passion to help others,” she says.
One of their students, Phumzile “Ndoni” Mseleku Ndoni, made it to the top five of Idols SA season 16, and the college is grateful for producing Mzansi’s top talents.
