Hannes Van Der Walt was crowned Mr South Africa 2020 on Saturday night in a virtual event that was streamed online.
The Mr South Africa organisation revealed that there are no plans to send Hannes Van Der Walt to the International finals.
Other title winners were De Villier Koster who was named the first runner up while Lee Jordan Jacobs was named the second runner up.
Unlike in 2019 at Camps Bay in Cape Town where Heinrich Gabler was crowned Mr South Africa 2019, this year’s event was broadcasted to a global audience virtually.

The judges for the beauty pageant were Aretha Bauwens, Saskia Riley and Storm Johnson.
The organisers said they are committed to finding the best South African ambassador every year.
They always thrive to find someone the younger generations aspire to be, someone who is an example to the youth.
They also revealed that they do not look for a male model by av everyday hero.
“We don’t look for a male model, we are looking for a real-life everyday hero,” the organisers of Mr South Africa said.
The 2019 winner Henrich represented the country at Mr Manhunt 2020 in Manila, but this year’s plans to send the winner for an international final have been derailed by the pandemic.
