Manipulation of Covid-19 results at Sally Mugabe hospital
In pain, a nurse working at Sally Mugabe hospital claims some bogus activities in COVID-19 results issued at the health institution.
In a footage by Shepherd Tozviriva the nurse says:
“We have lost our mother, one of our own, our sister. She (Miriam Pundu) had left her family all alone to attend to patients. What we know is that the results are sometimes manipulated but the issue is that she wasn’t even ill but for real she had covid-19. Although the results might have been negative she was positive and that is what is happening here at Harare Hospital.”

The nurse in the video further slams the hospital’s integrity when it comes to COVID-19 testing by saying that if one goes to another hospital or institution after getting results from Harare Hospital they will surely be different. One might deduce that the equipment at Harare hospital is not efficient in detecting the new variant covid-19 since some researchers have concluded that some results might show false negative to the variant.

During the interview the nurse adds,
“What we want as healthcare staff is proper PPE so that we can work well. We want to save patients we want to save our nation wholeheartedly. Instead of having a proper N95 mask to protect ourselves we are using surgical masks which are not as effective. The worst part is we use one mask for 12hours a day for the whole week. In place of gowns we get plastic bags to protect ourselves and it hurts. “
In such situations we put hope and faith in hospitals but if we cannot trust their integrity then it leaves a lot of people wondering where we are heading in the midst of a pandemic.
