Socialite, actress and television personality Khanyi Mbau opened up about her relationship with ex-husband and baby daddy former millionaire Mandla Mthembu and love triangle with Zodwa Wabantu.
Speaking to radio Dj and producer Macgyver Mukwevho, popularly known as MacG, Khanyi Mbau revealed how she met Mandla and how he played her with Zodwa Wabantu.
Mandla Mthembu really loved Zodwa Wabantu
She revealed that she never get to know exactly what her ex-husband Mandla Mthembu as a person. Khanyi said their relationship lacked a real conversation, it was a relationship of spending, shopping and showing off the bling.
Asked about if she ever felt that she loved Mandla, Khanyi’s response was “NO”.
“I worshiped him, I saw him as my hero he saved me, he gave me all I dreamt about, he was like a god to me. Mandla and I never had a normal conversation with each other just to say, what do you like? How are you feeling? What hurts you? We would always talk about fashion, cars, whats the next location, whose party are we going next to? So we have never actually had conversations and I realized this when I was 8 months pregnancy where I couldn’t run around that’s when I realized that I was in trouble”
She revealed that Zodwa gave Mandla stuff that she couldn’t offer him “conversation”
“When I was pregnant at times I never wanted to be touched, that the gap that Zodwa found and filled. She gave him stuff that I couldn’t give him, they had conversations that we never had, and they bonded like for real. For us it was always he wanted to impress me all the time but with Zodwa it was real, they sat in her garage, their love was real. Remember this guy is a guy from the hood who just managed to bump into millions so is still hood and I am north, I am suburban so he met someone in his world that how she won him,” she said.
Khanyi Mbau said he divorced Mandla when he became abusive, when he started losing money, he started drinking a lot. He was now abusive.

She revealed that she went into early labor after she was pushed down stairs and delivered her daughter Khanukani.
Zodwa Wabantu’s son is the same age as Khanyi Mbau’s daughter and according to Khanyi Mabu, he resembles Mandla Mthembu. Higher chances are Zodwa’s son is a brother to Khanyi Mbau’s daughter.
