A car dealer employee has been charged with attempted murder after he tried to spike his boss’s drink with saliva from a Covid-19 infected patient.
The Turkish man Ramazan Cimen is reported to have tried to kill his employer Ibrahim Unverdi and his wife after he was allegedly caught trying to steal £21,410 from the business’s takings.
Reports indicate that Cimen has worked for Unverdi’s car dealership in Adana, south-east Turkey for the last three years.
The story was first published in the Hurriyet newspaper which asserted that Unverdi gave Cimen some money after a sale of cars, to take it to the office by the later disappeared with the money.
He later told his boss that he had given the money to a loan shark whom he owed some money.
Unverdi shockingly claimed that Cimen had already bought Covid-19 infected saliva from a patient for £50 and spiked his drink but fortunately he did not drink it.
“This is the first time I have heard of such a bizarre killing technique of trying yo kill someone. Thank God I did not become sick. God is always with the good,” he said thankfully.
Unverdi told the court that he and his wife are now living in fear after he reported the incident to the media as Cimen is threatening him.
Cimen is reportedly threatening to shoot Unverdi in the head given he missed a chance to kill him with the virus.
The police moved to protect him in the wake of threats from his employee.
Cimen has been charged with attempted murder for trying to intentionally kill his boss with Covid-19 disease.
“I would rather he did kill me rather than trying to infect me with the virus,” said Unverdi who added that his parents could die from Covid-19 as they have a chronic illness.
“At least if he shot me in the head, I would be the only one to die than killing my whole family with me.
“Thank God the prosecutor’s office gave me protection from this evil man and they are now looking for him.”
Unverdi’s wife Dilek sad she is also afraid of being killed by Cimen as he allegedly planned to kill her.
She has been staying home with her kids and said she will only get our of her house once Cimen is in custody.
“We are living with death around us. We do not know where Cimen will come from so we are being careful. It’s like we are living in a prison.
