It surprised Royal AM FC as Mamkhize announced a prolific defender Nascimento from Mamelodi Sundowns. Dancing and smiling, Mamkhize welcomed Nascimento in a typical stylish Mamkhize way. “Ricardo will arrive at Pietermaritzburg at the Royal Ranch this weekend, where he will be inducted into the team culture and commence training ahead of his first match with us”, posted Mamkhize on Instagram, announcing the good news to Royal AM FC fans.
Veteran Brazilian Ricardo Nascimento signs for Mamkhize’s Royal AM FC
Having started his career at Palmeiras in Brazil, The solid centre back went on to have a long and successful career in Brazil and Portugal before moving to South Africa in 2016 when he joined Mamelodi Sundowns. At 35 years old and over 50 appearances for Sundowns, Nascimento brings stability and experience to Royal AM FC.
