Male teachers sexually harassing female students at Vaal High School
Male teachers are reportedly sexually harassing female learners at Vaal High School and they are threatened when they speak up according to whistleblowers.
MEC for Education and Youth Development in Gauteng Province Panyaza Lesufi has confirmed to have heard incidences of sexual harassment and he revealed that he will be travelling to the school to get their side of the story and to find more information about the accusations levied against male teachers.

So dire is the situation that learners have resorted to grouping up and starting a campaign to free themselves from sexual predators.

Many people have weighed on the Vaal High School sexual abuse allegations. Some think the issue deserves the government’s attention while others believe they could be false accusations.

One Tweep commented, “false sexual harassment allegations have destroyed a lot of men in this country. It leaves an indelible mark on the accused even after being acquitted. Sjava is a classic case of a man who was destroyed by baseless claims. Let’s be VERY sure wen accusing people.
Another lady said, “Do you know what is more sickening? These young ladies were made to apologize to these perpetrators because they got the “wrong” impressions from the male educators.”
Meanwhile, other people accused Vaal High School students of ‘throwing themselves at teachers’ but the accusation has been quickly countered:
As a teacher who went to tertiary for 4 years and an adult who has more than 18 years of life experience are you telling me that you’d be stupid enough to “fall” for a student that throws themself at you?
Parents are anxiously waiting for the government’s report on investigations into the matter.
