Makhadzi beams with pride after scooping the Best Southern African Female artist at the AFRIMA awards.
The four-day event culminated Sunday evening at an awards ceremony on the outskirts of Senegal’s capital, Dakar. It included performances from some of Africa’s most famous musicians, such as Nigeria’s P-Square and Tiwa Savage, Mali’s Rokia Kone and Senegalese singers. Among the stars who walked away with awards was Makhadzi, who is optimistic about her win.
The celebrated star represented Mzansi well last night at the Afrima Awards, and she took to her Instagram account to give her fans a glimpse of what happened at the ceremony.
Mkakhadzi was slaying in a golden outfit when she hit the red carpet this past weekend at the annual All Africa Music Awards, celebrating the continent’s best talent. She was fully dressed for the event, and Mzansi has been complimenting her gorgeous outfit.
After winning the Best Southern African Female artist at the AFRIMA awards, Makhdzi gave a vote of thanks to her fans who supported her. Taking to her Instagram, she wrote:

A look at Makhadzi’s other awards she won last year
As a superstar, Makhadzi walked away with the Favourite Music Artist or Group and Song of the year awards for her hit song Ghanama featuring Prince Benza. However, she was also upset that some of her songs were only nominated, but she did not win the awards.
