It was a clash of the titans when Makhadzi, the popular singer of Ghanama, and Masindi Mphephu, the VhaVenda Princess, came face to face over a wealthy businessman. The man in question is Lawrence Mulaudzi, the former owner of TTM football club, who has been dating both women behind their backs.
The drama unfolded in June, when ZiMoja reported that Makhadzi was invited to perform at a birthday party for the princess at a lodge in Nandoni, Thohoyandou in Limpopo. The princess, who was unaware of Mulaudzi’s affair with Makhadzi, became furious when she saw the singer flirting with her man. She confronted Makhadzi and the two women almost came to blows. Masindi’s friends intervened and asked Makhadzi and her dancers to leave the event.
Makhadzi was also shocked to learn that Mulaudzi was cheating on her with the princess. She had been seeing him for a while and he had been supportive of her career. He had helped her become more business savvy, especially after she left Open Mic records.
Since then, Makhadzi and Mulaudzi have gone public with their relationship. They have been spotted wining and dining at various places and they seem to be in love. They have also been traveling together and they are planning their festive season around their busy schedules.
Makhadzi’s manager Lucky Tshilimandila declined to comment on her personal life. He said he only manages her music business and he is not at liberty to comment on her private life. Makhadzi also refused to comment.
