Is there someone you love who you think might just need a makeover? No worries Gospel meets Fashion designer, Lindani Ndwandwa is ready to give your loved ones a makeover. A new makeover show, Shine Shine premiered on the newly premiered Honey this Wednesday and you might just love it!
Mbali Nkosi will host the makeover show while Lindani is the show’s stylist. The show airs on Honey channel 173 at 5.30pm. Lindani is no new name to the fashion industry as he hosts an annual show, Fashion Meets Gospel that has impressed many. Lindani had also dressed some of Mzansi’s favourites such as Terry Pheto, Ntokozo Mbambo and Katlego Danke. How he got the Shine Shine gig? Who gets a makeover? How will it work?

“I was approached last year, just before Christmas. They told me about the show and I was interested in it. We recorded the pilot and it was approved. We’ve recorded all 26 episodes now. Everyone was different. There were people who were complete disasters and we needed to transform them. But most people went through major changes, some would cut off their hair. People even wore clothes they never thought they’d wear. So I basically changed everyone who came. Also everybody who came to the show was excited about the makeovers. This is definitely something I’d love to do again.”
“Shine Shine is a makeover show where someone is nominated either by their friends or family. They ask us to spice the person’ wardrobe up and teach them how to dress. That;s the motivation behind the show. The person who nominates the person and the person who is nominated both come to the show and they meet Mbali. After speaking to Mbali, the brings them to my wardrobe department.” Lindani Ndwandwa said.
Mbali Nkosi is a South African actress, tv personality and musician who made her big break in Big Brother Mzansi. She has featured on various TV productions including MTV Shuga, Rockville, The Queen, All access Mzansi, Zabalaza. Generations The Legacy and A date with Arthur. Shine Shine is another big name to add to her list of accomplishments.
The combination of Lindani Ndwandwa and Mbali Nkosi on Shine will prove to be a dynamic addition to the recently premiered Honey’s list of programs. Definitely a duo and production fashion lovers will appreciate.
