Skeem Saam has been known to open up the industry quite often. Skeem Saam is constantly introducing new storylines and with new storylines, comes new characters. These new characters will be high school learners at Turfloop high.
Many names were launched on Skeem Saam. Even the lead characters, Cornet Mamabolo, who plays Thabo Maputla and Clement Maosa, who plays Zamokuhle Kwaito Seakamela, were unknown when the series premiered.
The series held auditions again to introduce new characters a few years ago, and Mkay, played by Mlungisi Mathe, and most of the guys that work at Cafe Rovuwa were introduced to us through Skeem Saam.
Now new characters are coming our way. These characters will make their way as students at Turf high.
According to Phil Mphela, these characters will debut on our screens from Wednesday, 12 January 2022. These new characters will be a part of a new developing storyline. They are Mahlatse, played by Phillip Thobejane, Lewatle, played by Mosa Nkwashu and Mosebjadi, played by Zizo Sobhutyu.
The changes are also in line with the developing storyline about Paxton Kgomo, the superintendent’s son at the hospital. Paxton is currently in trouble for vandalising the Welcome sign at Turfloop.
The Kgomo family have been through a lot with everything that had happened when they tragically lost their beautiful daughter Kelebogile Kgomo who Tumishang brutally murdered. The story continues, and Paxton Kgomo will be right in the middle of it with his new friends.
