Loyiso Gijana is getting attention from international musicians. Loyiso, popularly known as Lloyiso, is a South African musician with a voice that elicits an emotional response from his listeners.
Lloyiso was first introduced to us when he took part in season 11 of Idols South African addition. He went up to the top five, and since then, he has been building on his music, posting videos of him singing covers of other musicians on social media platforms like TikTok. He had covered some very high profiled musicians, including Adele (Easy on me), Rihanna (What now), Burna Boy ( Bank on it) and many, many more.
His crisp voice is perfect, and we know how some of these songs are so difficult to sing, even for veteran musicians. Lloyiso changed his name from Loyiso to Lloyiso, and he added the extra l because he didn’t want to be mistaken for Loyiso Bala.
In September 2021, he was signed on to Republic Records, a popular and respected record label in New York. The same label houses bug names like Drake, Arianna Grande and the Weekend, to name but a few. He is the first South African to be signed to the label.
Lloyiso is trending on Twitter because his singing prowess has attracted a severe international musician India Arie.
India Arie is one of the most respected musicians in the world. She has sold over 3.3 million albums in the US and over 20 million worldwide, with 4 Grammy Awards, including one for best RnB album. Her first album, Acoustic Soul, released in 2000, went Gold in South Africa. India took to her Instagram page to respect the young singer.
This mega superstar has given flowers to our boy Lloyiso and thus is huge. Lloyiso’s followers have congratulated him and noted how huge of a compliment this is. Lloyiso has hit singles to his name like Nontsikelelo and Dream about you.
