Somizi Mhlongo is an innovative person and has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry over the years. We all know that his parents, Ndaba Mhlongo and Marry Twala, were big names in the showbiz industry.
Living the dream is a reality show about the talented Somizi. We get to see everything he does behind the scenes and get to know him and his flamboyant lifestyle on a personal note.
The show became an instant hit with the viewers ever since it premiered on April 16th 2016, on the popular Mzansi Magic channel.
According to Phil Mphela, the show will have significant changes when it hits our screens again. The old producer of the show Legend Manqele has left the show, and a new producer by Teddy Geldart is taking over.
A lot has happened since the last show. As we all know, Somgaga went through a very public break-up with his husband, Mohale Motaung. That situation cost him the seat of the Idol SA as a judge and many more gigs. Like when he recently trended on social media for posting a nude picture of himself, and well, that picture is now a meme everywhere. He did take it down quickly after he posted, but it was too late. There was that lockdown situation with Minister Fikile Mbalula, and Somizi was taken to court over the comments he made. It was caught on Dineo Ranaka’s living on Instagram.
I wonder if we will hear more on these on the new show.
Somizi continued to thrive after those challenges. We love the show, and we can’t wait to see what the talented Somizi, as his adoring fans affectionately call him, will fish up for us.
