The government of Zimbabwe has released a list of people who have escaped from quarantine centres. The government has urged members of the public to report these absconders and not to accommodate them in their homes as they risk being infected by the Covid-19.
Zimbabwean returnees mostly from South Africa and Botswana are being quarantined at various points in thee country as the government battles to control the spread of the Coronavirus. Zimbabwe’s risk of rising infections is imported. The government has also increased security as the centres as the number of escapees continue to rise. Publishing the names is part of the government’s efforts to make the public aware of risky friends and relatives so they can report or avoid them.
