List of cooperatives’ houses facing demolition in Harare
Trouble looms as the Capital City Father’s give a directive to forcefully put down a number of unlawful structures in Harare. This happens after the Court grants the City of Harare permission to demolish all unlawful properties on Crowborough Farm and other areas in the city. The process will commence on the 2nd of April 2021 if the owners of the properties do not remove their structures.
The City of Harare takes this opportunity to warn all other bodies, agencies and co-operatives that possess illegally assembled structures within the city’s boundaries, to get red of them before the city demolishes them.
A list of illegal structures with court orders has been publicly revealed so that owners of such can take the necessary actions. The list contents are:

Local Authorities have been at war with Land Barons and Co-operatives that have issued land not for residential purposes to people. The worse part is that these structures have been built without any permission from relevant offices. All this time it has been a back and forth squabble until the President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa during a state address assured that all illegal land dealings will be dealt with.
Some of the unauthorized constructions have resulted in house owners paying the repercussions. Lately home owners with properties situated on wetlands have been loosing their belongings to floods from the heavy rains.
