Makhadzi took a swipe at Rita Dee in an emotional tweet.

“The only thing I did was ask my money from my ex-manager from my previous album Matorokisi and money for my royalties, what she did was to claim my money and delete all my videos from YouTube including Riyavenda with 10 million views and Matorokisi with 8 million views. I didn’t get a cent from my album. I paid my Picanto car she doesn’t want to change ownership names. If I can die tomorrow everything is under her meaning I was born to be a slave. She’s not answering my calls, she blocked me.”

In recent years several artists have opened up about similar incidences. A number of artists like A-Reece, Emtee and Fifi Cooper have also been victims of their recording labels.

The trio made headlines when the went solo after a fallout with their former recording label, Ambitious Entertainment.

However, a few neo artists have managed to make it without any major signings. Celebrated star musicians like Shane Eagle and Cassper Nyovest are some of the recognisable names.

It is now yet to be seen whether or not Rita Dee will sort out her issues with Makhadzi or have to succumb to the #RitaDee must fall trend which seems to have taken Twitter by storm.
