Mzansi impressed with Gomora’s actor Don ‘Israel Matseke-Zulu’s sleek dance moves
Dupped as the king of small screens, Israel Masteke Zulu has been making all sorts of headlines with his unmatched acting flair. The bubbly actor is best known for his several on-screen characters, but his Don character on Gomora will take him to the grave.
No doubt he nailed with perfection as he starred as Zodwa’s wife character played by Sannah Mchunu. Despite being that on-screen gangster, we all love to hate; he called it quits on Gomora after a chronic disease took a toll on him. He couldn’t walk on set; hence he saw his leg being amputated in the mix of things.
Despite being off the screen for a while, the award-winning actor is trending after a viral picture of him flooded social media. A viral Israel Matseke-Zulu styled by Boogy is making rounds on social media, and the message he was sending to Mzansi thrust him into top trends. He was wearing a pair of converse takkies labelled. He hasn’t shared a series of images with his leg amputated, but it seems this post got Mzansi talking. Life is too short to waste.

In the wake of the post, Mzansi started sharing Matseke-Zulu’s best moments. One viral video of him dancing wowed many. He was wearing a suit in one of the local taverns in Soweto, pulling some classic dance moves that left a lot to be desired. This trending video was pulled from the archives before he had his leg amputated due to his chronic disease.

He had his thrust into the limelight when he starred in Yizo Yizo. However, before he was thrust into the stardom, he was nabbed for almost ten years in jail after being involved in a series of criminal activities, from housebreaking to burglary, at the age of 14 years.
Whilst serving eight years, he formed a theatre group Abaqobi Drama Group. In the wake of his release, he went on to win big on small screens thanks to his furnished talent whilst in jail, from Yizo Yizo to Gomora.
In 2015 he starred in etv drama series Z’bondiwe as Jakes Masilo, Killer’s right hand. His gangster character saw him switching the floor to the Mzansi Magic gangster drama series isiBaya. In the drama series, he starred as a cunning and ruthless gangster Cyprian Gumbi. In the wake of the canning of Isibaya, he joined Mzansi Magics’ most-watched drama series Gomora as Don up until his break from small screens.
