Actor Nkosinathi Maphalala famously known as Nay Maps has stretched his career by venturing into music. Nay Maps took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that he would release his first single.

Actor Nay Maps ‘Nkosinathi Maphalala’ released a new mixed genre single
Nay is proving he didn’t join the entertainment industry to be average. During his interview on the KayaFM radio station, the actor revealed that he had tried venturing into music earlier, but his schedule was tight as he was building his career as an actor. Nay also said that his late father helped and directed him to get his music career going. His fans and Mzansi are happy for him and wish him well in his new career as a singer.
Actor Nay Maps dropped his first single, titled I’ll Be There. The song is so emotional and mixes RnB and electronic deep pop beats. Its sound is rarely heard on mainstream radio, which will likely add a much-needed mix to the music playlist. Nay Maps’ song is available on all major streaming platforms.
A look at Nay Maps’ acting career
The actor had a passion for creative arts from a very young age. Nay Maps’ doors fling open when he presented a lifestyle show Hashtag on ANN7. In 2014 he scored his first acting gig on the soapie Isibaya as Tshepo. He nailed his role to perfection, and as a result, he landed another acting role on Uzalo.
On Uzalo, he played Mxolisi, a car hijacking criminal who would do anything to put food on the table. His character on Uzalo thrust him into the limelight; since then, he has been attracting more gigs. We can all agree he is an unmatched actor as he dominated the year 2021 by scoring four acting roles in different soapies.
