As if everything that has been going on between Pretty and Lehasa is not enough, now she has to deal with seeing him almost kill Kgosi.
Pretty might love him, but her faith has been shaken a little by the court case and all the accusations of murder that Lehasa is being tried for.
Pretty is not a stupid gal; she knows that Lehasa is no Angel, but love has been keeping her by his side.
On Friday night’s episode, Lehasa was desperately looking for his star witness, Kgosi, without success.
Kgosi knows everything about Lehasa and Fanie’s shady dealings and that Lehasa murdered Fanie.
Lehasa trusts him to be the witness that would lie on the stand for him and hopefully save him from going behind bars.
The problem started when Lehasa couldn’t locate Kgosi for the whole day, and when he finally showed up, he told Lehasa that he was pulling out as his witness.
Kgosi claimed that he couldn’t go through with breaking the law, making Lehasa very angry.
Lehasa turns around and pounces on him like a wild animal and strangles him until Kgosi turns blue in the face.
All of this happens in Lehasa’s penthouse. As this dramatic scene happens, we are switched to Kgosi’s point of view, and we see that Pretty is watching all of this happen from a distance.
Is she going to leave Lehasa now?
That is the million-dollar question. Pretty has dealt with so much to be with this man. She is living in a strange polygamous arrangement where he is married to Khwezi, and she has heard damning evidence that points to him as Fanie’s killer from everyone, including her best friend, but she stays.
Do you see Lehasa almost kill Kgosi in front of her? Will this finally make her see just how much of a monster Maphosa is? What would it take for Pretty to leave?
Granted, Kgosi deserves the treatment he is receiving from Lehasa. Also, Lehasa doesn’t know that Kgosi is spying for Petersen and Khwezi, but what does Pretty make of all this?
She has declined several requests from her family; even MaNtuli let go of her pride and asked Pretty to return home. It seems like nothing can break her. Let’s see if this new incident does the trick.
