Lebo M, the famous composer of The Lion King musical, and his wife Pretty Samuels-Morake, a businesswoman, have reportedly decided to cancel their divorce plans after a family intervention. According to a source who spoke to Zimoja, a local entertainment news outlet, Pretty’s former brother-in-law arranged a meeting between the couple and their families, along with their lawyers, to resolve their issues.
The source said that Lebo M agreed to give their marriage another chance after Pretty admitted to some of the allegations that he had made against her. The source also said that one of the conditions for their reconciliation was that Pretty had to issue a formal apology to Lebo M for her actions.
However, this contradicts what Lebo M said in a recent interview with Podcast and Chill, a popular YouTube channel hosted by Sol Phenduka and MacG. In the interview, which aired on Monday, 8 August, Lebo M said that he was not the first person in the country to divorce three or four times, and that he did not trust anyone with money. He also said that he would not sacrifice his wealth for love, and that he had no advice for MacG, who just got engaged.

The divorce drama
On Tuesday, 1 August, Lebo M released a brief statement announcing that he would be sending his wife a summons for divorce after being married for one year. He did not give any reasons for his decision at first, but later changed his mind and released another statement with more details.
He claimed that his fourth marriage failed because his estranged wife refused to delete his electronic signature from her computer. He explained that he gave her his electronic signature when he went on his European tour between April and June, and that he asked her to destroy it when he returned. He also accused her of being unfaithful and dishonest.
He further claimed that he asked Pretty to sign another document in July, confirming that she had not taken out any policies on his life without his consent. He said that she refused to do so, and that this made him fear for his life and that of his children. He said that he was consulting with his attorneys to investigate and verify if there were any fraudulent life policies in his name.
Pretty, on the other hand, denied that they were getting divorced or separated. She said that she did not know anything about the situation, and that she was busy running errands with the children. She referred to Lebo M’s children as they did not have any children together.
