Grammy award-winning producer Lebo M, born Lebohang Morake, has publicly leveled serious allegations against his estranged wife, Pretty Samuels. According to Morake, Samuels is both a cheat and a fraudster.
These revelations came to light through an unnamed acquaintance of Morake, who feared potential repercussions for speaking out. The situation unfolded after Samuels’ close associate claimed that Morake ended their relationship due to his expectation of a $10-million windfall (approximately R187 million) from the sale of his music catalog in the United States.
Morake disputes Samuels’ claim to any share of this substantial sum, especially since they were married in community of property. Additionally, Samuels is reportedly seeking R250,000 per month in spousal maintenance during their ongoing divorce proceedings, along with an extra R2.5 million for legal expenses.
In an interview with Sunday World, Morake’s acquaintance revealed that their union, which lasted one and a half years, unraveled due to Samuels’ alleged unfaithfulness and untrustworthiness. The situation escalated when Morake discovered Samuels secretly recording their private conversations.
Since Samuels left him in July 2023, Morake claims to have no knowledge of her current whereabouts. Despite the personal turmoil, he remains resolute in protecting his interests and maintaining the integrity of their legal proceedings.
