Lady Zamar goes MIA after failing to pay former driver
Lady Zamar is allegedly avoiding calls and text messages from her former driver Thabang Litsaone after she allegedly failed to pay him.
According to the singer’s former driver, Lady Zamar was ordered by a court to pay him R52 542. Thabang who hails from Olievenhoutbosch in Tshwane said he was employed by Lady Zamar as her driver from November 2018 to April last year.
He said the two had a good working relationship until it came to paying him his dues. The singer, whose real name is Yamikani Banda asked Thabang if she could use his car together with her manager. Thabang said he gave her the car after she promised she would pay for renting it. He said when she brought it back, the windscreen had cracks and the back seat was damaged. This was not the only car the musician damaged. Thabang said the musician damaged his white VW Transporter T6.1 2017.
He said despite all this he kept driving her around because he believed she would pay him for the damages. When the musician was called, she told Thabang that she had to pay other people first and he would get his money once she was done.
Thabang told a publication that this went on for months until his wife could not take it any longer and decided to confront the musician. Thabang said his wife was blocked by the musician when she contacted her. Lady Zamar ended up saying she would not pay him. It was then that he took the matter to court where Lady Zamar was ordered to pay him R31 400 with 10% interest.
However, the musician has since moved house and Thabang says she no longer takes his calls. He told the publication that he needs the money Lady Zamar owes him so that he can clear some debts he accrued whilst getting the cars fixed.
When contacted, Lady Zamar’s manager, Micheal Lebuse, said the matter because it was still in court.
