KZN kid forced to eat raw dead dog meat
Mzansi is not impressed at all after it was established that a KwaZulu-Natal uncle forced a kid to eat raw dead dog meat. However, rumour has it that upon discovering that his puppy had died, he became angry!
In the mix of things, the Uncle was more than sure that his seven-year-old nephew had killed the little animal deliberately. Rumour has it that he allegedly beat the boy and then forced him to feast on the dead puppy’s raw meat.
The gogo (37) of the boy from Mtubatuba, northern KZN, said she wanted the police to arrest the uncle for cruelty.
“He abused my grandchild in a terrible way,” she said.
The gogo said her daughter had died in 2018 and left her with her two children.
“The boy is an orphan as I’ve never seen his dad,” she explained. I’ve been ignoring the calling, fearing that my grandchildren will be left alone. Things started falling apart and the female relative advised that I go and begin the ukuthwasa and she would look after my grandchildren.”
She had left the boy in the care of this female relative when her sangoma calling forced her to go to the home of the gobela to begin her ukuthwasa.

KZN Social Development Spokesman Mhlaba Memela said they have started working on the case after being informed about the incident by neighbours.
“This act is disgusting. People who abuse children can never be tolerated. The child has since been moved to a child centre by our social worker. He is getting all the support he needs. The social workers will also remain with that family as it appears that all of them have been suffering abuse and need the department’s intervention.” said Memela.
Memela said MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza has called on police to work day and night to trace the alleged abuser. Captain Nqobile Gwala said a case of assault was being investigated by Mtubatuba cop shop.
“Allegedly, a seven-year-old boy was assaulted with a sjambok by a relative while at his home in Qakwini area. The matter is still under investigation. Police are still investigating the allegation that the suspect forced the minor to eat a dead puppy,” said Gwala.
Inspector Thabani Mabasa from the SPCA advised the media team to contact the office again today and speak to the SPCA manager.
