Education and Culture Minister Kirsty Coventry has won the battle to own a farm that was once allocated to Robert Mugabe’s nephew Robert Zhuwao in Darwendale.
Initially Kirsty Coventry’s husband wrote a letter to the Zhuwao’s Kirsty giving them 30 days to leave the 232 hectare farm.

Zhuwao made an application seeking a spoliation and prohibitory interdict against the minister from Zambia where he is recovering from a brain surgery.

The second reason for dismissing Zhuwao’s application is because he has not been present. His farm manager who lives in the area was not invited.
State media reports that Zhuwao was allocated subdivision 1 of Cockington Farm in Zvimba, yet Minister Coventry was allocated subdivision 4 on the same Cockington Farm. The areas were deemed different by the High Court.
Zhuwao also lost another farm he has owned since 2004 on the basis that he has been absent since 2011 and has not been productive at the farm.
