MDC-T President Thokoxani Khupe and reinstated Vice Chairperson Morgen Komichi and secretary general Douglas Mwonzora visited the late Morgan Tsvangirai’s grave in Buhera yesterday to perform rituals.
Khupe said some words to Tsvangirai asking for assistance to win court cases against Chamisa. Chamisa and Khupe are currently battling to control ZImbabwe’s largest opposition party. “I come with my colleagues today. We will work together. We are going to be united. We will continue the job that you left us with. We will continue with your spirit. You will not hear us splitting again. May you help us with the court cases that we are battling. Please open the way for us. We are committing to help your mother here.” Khupe said at the grave as women ululated.
The Khupe faction were accompanied by Tsvangirai’s aunt Gogo Tsvangirai to the grave. They were also pictures holding hands. Gogo Tsvangirai became unpopular when she openly threatened to commit suicide if people’s favourite Chamisa attended Tsvangirai’s funeral.
The incident has been compared with the early 2007 Chinhoyi Diesel scandal that saw Zanu PF politicians visiting a traditional healer who claimed to have powers to get diesel out of a rock.

However Mwonzora denied the Buhera allegations before pictures and videos surfaced. He called Pedzisai Ruhanya, a former news editor for Zimbabwean independent newspaper Daily News, a mad man.

Reports from sources in the MDC indicate that Tsvangirai unconstitutionally appointed Chamisa and Elias Mudzuri Vice Presidents to derail Khupe’s chances of taking control of the MDC in the event of his demise. It is reported Khupe absconded meetings for a eight months before Tsvangirai’s death. Sources also reviewed Khupe was against the idea of the MDC Alliance and she felt her influence would be diluted by the arrival of Welshman Ncube of the same Ndebele tribe.

Dear @DrThoko_Khupe,
You went to court to complain that the appointments made by Morgan Tsvangirai were unconstitutional. You've now gone to his grave to seek his help to win the cases undoing what he left behind? Political power comes from the people not from graveside rituals. pic.twitter.com/mnPY2gjwGs
