Khanyisa was raised in a family with a strong musical inclination and is beaming with pride at this latest achievement. It marks a milestone in her musical journey, which has seen her rise from being one of the top five finalists in the Vodacom NXT LVL music competition in 2017 to becoming one of the female stars at the forefront of the amapiano scene.

Khanyisa’s Rise to Stardom
After losing her job due to the pandemic, Khanyisa rose to stardom as a TikTok star where she showcased her talent as a singer. However, she describes stardom as any other job that comes with many pressures that demand you take care of your mental health.
In an interview with news reporters, she said, “Fame comes with its pressures, it’s just like any other job. No money comes free. There are those days where you are really demotivated and you have to push yourself to work… it looks all fun — but it’s costly on my mental health and that’s why I prioritise my mental health before anything else.”
Dealing with Bullying
Despite her success, Khanyisa has had to deal with bullying. “I get bullied almost every other day and discover someone who doesn’t like me, so you need to constantly reassure yourself,” she told news reporters.
However, she now knows when to take time off to drown out the noise. “I stay away from negative things that could be said about me. I scroll fast and avoid things that could trigger or affect me and keep my head up high,” she said.
Khanyisa’s story is one of perseverance and determination in the face of adversity. She serves as an inspiration to others who may be facing similar challenges.
