Khanyi Mbau joins Family Secrets as Dr Rose
Khanyi Mbau has announced that she is joining the cast of SABC 1 soapie Family Secrets as Dr Rose.
In the soapie, Dr. Rose is a practicing psychologist but it is not clear what her role will be in the Family Secrets storyline.
Mbau took to Twitter to post a short clip of her new Family Secrets role. Watch the snippet below:

This is not the first time Mabu has featured in a television soapie.
The reality TV star started her acting career in 2004 on Muvhango when she replaced Lindiwe Chibi in the role of Doobsie. Chibi was shot by her boyfriend. Unfortunately for Mbau, the creators of Muvhango fired her a year later for allegedly spending too much time partying and appearing in the tabloids.
She then went on to join the soapie Mzansi in its second season where she portrayed the role of Mbali. SABC 1 did not renew Mzansi for a third season. In 2007 she played the role of Zee in the SABC 1 mini-series After 9.
In 2013, she portrayed Sindisiwe Sibeko on the Mzansi Magic mini-series Like Father Like Son. Mbau was not done acting as she landed a role as Pinky on eTV’s first telenovela, Ashes To Ashes. She landed the role of Palesa Simelane in the drama series Umlilo in 2016.
In 2018 she joined Uzalo as Dinekile aka Lady Die and in 2019 announced that she would be part of season five of the show. She also played the lead role Tshidi in Abomama.
