Educational Background
Khanya spent most of her early school life in boarding school. This taught her to be independent at a very young age. She was also a very good netball player. For her higher level studies she attended the AFDA in Johannesburg. Here she studied a Bachelor of Arts in motion photography and television. Khanya was a high achiever.
Career
Khanya had her first TV appearance at 14 where she was a presenter for YOTV. This was also her big break as this served as a giant launching pad for her career. She then went on to the eTV reality competition series, Shield Teen No Sweat Dance Challenge.
After this she transitioned to acting where she landed the role of Nonhle Minola on the mini series Forced Love. It was a part of SABC1’s “Shakespeare in Mzansi”. She then went on to appear on Intersexions in 2013. Then she went on to play Nolitha in Rockville. This was the same time as she became a moderator for Selimathunzi.
She then snagged a role on the Mzansi Magic Telenovela The Queen, alongside Motsoaledi Setumo and Ntando Duma. Khanya plays Vuyiswa’s (played by Zandile Msutswana) niece, Akhona.

In 2017, there were rumours that she was with the Dreamteam’s Trey. However they were rather secretive about their short lived relationship. She then hooked up with the rapper Yanga and that also fizzled out after a while.
Khanya then went and broke South African internet by dating J Molley who is 10 years her junior. Age ain’t nothing but a number but 10 sure is a big number though. She was likened to the likes of Zodwa Wabantu for dating the Ben10. However the couple did not last too long either. Khanya still remains a free bird and all the gentlemen are falling over themselves to bag that little birdie.

Khanya is no stranger to handcuffs, and no not the bedroom kind. She has been arrested quite a few number of times we recommend she leaves a toothbrush next time for convenience (too soon?). However she has been jailed for drunk driving a number of times. At some point she was even taken in for an alleged hit-and-run.
