Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns forward, Khama Billiat, received a straight red card while playing for Yadah Stars in a Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premiership match. Yadah Stars faced Herentals FC and suffered a 0-1 loss at Rufaro Stadium in Harare. The decisive goal came from a Godfrey Makambi strike just 11 minutes into the game.
The incident leading to Billiat’s red card was not physical; instead, he was dismissed for dissent after saying something that the referee, Thanks Nyaungwe, took exception to. Billiat’s frustration was evident, and he promptly left the stadium, accompanied by his daughter who was in attendance.
Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive refrained from commenting on the specifics of Billiat’s dismissal but acknowledged that it significantly impacted their chances of securing a positive result. Ruzive stated, “I cannot say much about Billiat’s red card because I can’t tell what really happened from where I was. It was a huge blow for us. Our boys got confused a bit, and by the time they regained their focus, it was too late”.

Yadah currently finds themselves in the relegation zone with only 10 points so far this season. This stint with Yadah marks Billiat’s first club since departing from Chiefs and South Africa at the beginning of the season.
