The team was suppose to travel on Wednesday night. However, due to the logistical nightmare they rescheduled their flight from OR Tambo International to Thursday night. This is so as to be able to make it for their match on Saturday.
The hold up came as a result of miscommunication between the Moroccan Football Federation and the authorities. Kaizer Chiefs can confirmed that the club members fulfilled all the requirements needed for their travel. This includes all Covid-19 protocols requirements for their trip, as such they were not in the wrong.
Amakhosi awaits with baited breath for any communication. SAFA has not received any correspondence from Moroccan authorities on the matter. However the club says that they continued with late night training sessions in preparation despite the cog in the system. They remain undeterred and are optimistic that they will be able to make their match on Saturday. Fans have rallied behind them to keep spirits up about the Kaizer Chiefs Moroccan trip.
